El Acebuchal (el pueblo fantasma, the ghost village)

Hay muchas historias sobre el Acebuchal, aldea que pertenece al municipio de Cómpeta. La más popular es que el Acebuchal era un lugar donde la resistencia que  luchaba contra el régimen Franco se escondía, por esa razón fue perseguido y los supervivientes tuvieron que abandonar la zona. Franco prohibió permanecer de noche debido a la lucha constante entre la Guardia Civil y la resistencia escondida en las montañas apoyada por los vecinos. Los constantes conflictos y restricciones obligaron a los residentes a dejar finalmente la aldea.Otras historias dicen que la aldea fue abandonada porque los residentes buscaban una vida mejor. De hecho el pueblo era una ruina hasta que en 1998 Antonio "El Zumbo" regresó con su mujer(Virtudes) para hacer realidad el sueño de su vida: reconstruir el Acebuchal.

EL ACEBUCHAL (THE GHOST VILLAGE)

The village belongs to the municipality of Competa.There many stories about Acebuchal.The story most often told is that Acebuchal was where the resistance - who fought against Franco, hid, and that those who survived, was chased out of town by Franco's men. Franco forbade them to stay there at night, was that there was constant fighting between the Guardia Civil and the resistance movement, who hid in the mountains. The constant conflicts and restrictions that were imposed on residents of Acebuchal finally forced them to leave their village. Others say that the city was abandoned because the residents simply wanted more comfort and a better life. In fact is that the village consisted of ruins only until 1998 when Antonio "El Zumbo" returned with his wife; Virtudes, to make a lifelong dream of rebuilding Acebuchal come true.
